Life measurement tool for solid-state drives
We developed This program tool for Windows so that you can have an idea, ahead of time, of how long an Solid-state drive will last in your computer. Its better to check under real conditions: everybodys usage patterns are different and exact predictions are impossible. At the same time, ssdready will tell you what to optimize if it finds too many disk writes.
Theres one problem. Solid-state drive write longevities, at least right now, are lower than those for ordinary hard drives. Theyre often long enough, but its possible that your work will cause you to exceed this limit and force you to frequently buy replacement disks. Once their write limit has been reached, Solid-state drives go into read-only mode, where your information is still readable. Even the write limit isnt a problem, however , when you optimize disk writes. We will tell more about Solid-state drive optimization in a special section on our site.
