SharePrep corrects file and folder names.
This program is an utility program that you can use to correct file and folder names within preparation for importing information into Microsofts SharePoint. The particular file and folder brands within SharePoint have even more restrictions than for regular Windows operation. This program offers a convenient user user interface to let you search your document names and folder brands for your known SharePoint restrictions and provides a function for automatically renaming the file and folder names to replace restricted characters. You can define the action to be used by the rename function for each of the restricted characters. For each, you can choose to delete the particular character, replace using a blank or replace using a character you specify. Some businesses are using This program to fix filenames that cause difficulties with backups. Others correct filenames for files downloaded from the net.
