Automatically download thousands of pictures
Picture Patrol is a system for Windows and Mac pc OS that automatically extracts pictures from thousands of articles posted in Usenet newsgroups. It builds large collections of free pictures immediately, using a simple interface to replace what once was a time-consuming task with essentially some settings and a few mouse clicks. Unlike regular newsreaders that require your own constant intervention, Picture Patrol independently downloads articles through your favorite newsgroups, decodes pictures attached to all of them and saves these pictures into the directories a person set, neatly grouped simply by date and newsgroup. Functions include: user-defined collections associated with newsgroups, support for even more than one news machine, automatic group circulation following a number of articles, moments or pictures, freedom in order to choose where each selection will be stored, development of unique filenames plus protection against corrupted documents, making the program very stable.
