GPS Clock for PC time sync to NMEA GPS device
This program Development Software is a free-ware utility that runs upon any Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 workstation or server. The software program polls time from the standard NMEA GPS period receiver connected to the particular host PCs serial interface and optionally allows period to be synchronised upon the host PC. The particular GPS clock utility forms GPRMC messages from the regular NMEA GPS time recipient. Information received through the GPS NAVIGATION receiver such as period, date, gps status, satellites is shown. The GPS NAVIGATION clock utility can furthermore update the system period of the host COMPUTER with GPS time. Take note however, time synchronisation may only be acheived towards the nearest second. Standard NMEA GPS devices do not have a pulse per second output that can be utilised by the serial port of a PC. Therefore , the microsecond accuracy that is available from TimeTools GPS T1000 and T2000 GPS timing receivers is not available with this software.
